The Gombe State University was established by law on May 6 2004 when the State Governor, Alhaji Muhammed Danjuma Goje (Sarkin Yakin Gombe) signed a Bill of the Gombe State House of Assembly. Academic activities commenced immediately after with the admission of candidates into the School of Basic and Remedial Studies which prepared candidates for admission into the undergraduate programmes of the University.Our vision to enhance knowledge, develop skills and cultivate positive attitudes in students. Has made us one of the best tertiary institutions in Nigeria. Producing confident, and highly employable graduates.
