Next course starts Flexible start at Kwara State University
Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering is an undergraduate course offered at the Kwara State University. It studies the structures of of airplanes, spacecrafts, and missiles structures, the materials that make them efficient, and methods for testing, analysis, and design of new systems. Undergraduates will learn about flight mechanics which involve the analysis of the motion of aircraft, missiles, rockets, re-entry vehicles, and spacecraft that are subjected to gravitational, propulsive, and aerodynamic forces. The course will also explore fluid mechanics, gas dynamics, heat transfer, as well as aerodynamics. It will explain the development of flight control systems for various space and air crafts.
Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineers have the technical skills to function in the areas of aerodynamics, structural mechanics, flight mechanics, propulsion, stability and control, and orbital mechanics. The aviation industry depends largely on them to provide their expertise in the application of system engineering skills, and linear system, classical control, digital control and probability theories. The course is designed to introduce you to the mechanical composition of airplanes, for the development and maintenance of their structural systems,
By completing the degree course, you will have a working knowledge of aerodynamics, control theories, and system engineering, and the expertise to apply them to solve problems in the development of aviation tools.
How This Course Will Benefit Your Career
The bachelor’s degree course will equip you with the capacities to:
- Apply the knowledge, techniques, and skills acquired, and modern tools used in aeronautical/mechanical engineering technology program;
- Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering and technology to aeronautical engineering technology problems;
- Design basic systems and components of an aeronautical system;
- Identify, formulate and solve aeronautical engineering technology problems.
At the completion of the programme, you will receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering.
