Admission Criteria

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS REQUIREMENTS FOR AWARD OF POSTGRADUATE DEGREES M. Sc. - successful completion of minimum of 18 calendar months programme with a pass in a minimum total of 35 units from courses (including all compulsory courses) and the special project. Classification of Award of M. Sc. Degree Results of the M. Sc. course are classified as follows; i. A candidate who scores a weighted average mark of 60% and above is eligible to proceed directly to the Ph.D. degree programme. ii. A candidate who scores between 55% and 60% is eligible to proceed to the M. Phil./Ph.D. degree with possibility of advancement to Ph.D. later depending on students' progress. iii. A candidate who scores between 50% and 55% weighted averages mark is eligible to proceed to M. Phil. degree only. iv. A candidate who scores between 40% and 49% weighted averages mark is eligible for terminal M. Sc. degree only.
