Course Overview

The Diploma programme is a foundational course in Law, designed to prepare students for the degree course. It educates undergraduates to understand and critically analyse the rules and institutions which society establishes to secure and promote justice and order. It covers varying aspects of law at the basic level. The course involves the fundamental skills of legal research, analysis, and written and oral communication. It explores the processes used by courts  in resolving civil disputes, explaining the litigation process, from pleadings through trial, and the jurisdictional doctrines that determine the proper court to hear a particular case.

With the Diploma certificate, you will learn to analyse, and predict the likely outcome of litigations. You can practice at the basic levels, including as magistrate in local courts. It would have prepared you to efficiently support lawyers throughout the process of defending cases in courts. The course will equip you with the comprehensive knowledge of techniques, tools, ethics and conducts of the legal profession, which gives you a solid foundation in the career path.
