Course Overview

The Bachelor of Science in Economics is a full-time four-year undergraduate course at the University of Calabar. The degree programme is a comprehensive discussion of modern economics, microeconomics, inflation and monopoly in given markets. It also studies developing countries, international finance as well as the finance of multinational companies. It provides undergraduates with training in theoretical and applied aspects of modern economics, econometrics and financial economics. The degree programme in Economics also ensures students learn the various techniques necessary for formal economic analysis.

Admission Criteria

  • General Certificate of Education, WASC, NECO & SSC (or equivalent) with credit in five subjects obtained at not more than two sittings. These five subjects must include English Language, Elementary Mathematics and Economics.

Step 2: Log on to the University’s admission portal. 
Step 3: Complete a displayed form with your JAMB Registration Number and purchased pin.
Step 4: Confirm your entries and submit your application.
Step 5: Print out the completed form.
